Voters, particularly white voters and voters under 40 who regularly participate in Atlanta city elections, need to read in mailboxes and see on the go that:
Rohit [Roh] Malhotra is a community leader with 15 years of experience in local organizing and public policy. After serving in the Obama White House as an Ash Fellow, Rohit founded Atlanta’s Center for Civic Innovation where he trained hundreds of social entrepreneurs and local organizations to tackle pressing issues from preventing gun violence to protecting our democracy. The son of immigrant, working-class small business owners, Rohit carried his parents’ spirit forward by launching a fund offering 0% interest loans to mostly Black entrepreneurs.
Rohit is running for City Council President to fight back against the two biggest threats facing Atlanta: an affordability crisis that’s pricing out the families who built this city, and a far-right Trump administration that’s gutting our health care, kidnapping people off the street, and threatening our very democracy. As City Council President, he’ll focus on ensuring hardworking Atlantans have a chance to build wealth, find a good-paying job, and afford to stay in the neighborhoods they grew up in, while also fighting the Trump administration whenever they threaten Atlanta and keeping Trump’s hands off of our city.
